We went off for some white water rafting on the river Tay near Aberfeldy for my 42 birthday on the Saturday. Feeling a bit bonkers we left work early on the Friday and took Campy up so that we didnt have to get up too early the following morning.
Killin
We stayed overnight at Killin at the west end of Loch Tay. We didn't plan to stay there it's just so beautiful we couldn't resist. Next morning we had a stroll around for an hour or two and it was even prettier, it even has a decent little outdoor gear shop selling proper stuff; Icebreaker, Rab and the like.
Kenmore is at the other end of Loch Tay and it's lovely. We might spend the night here in the future.
Aberfeldy
This is where we did the white water rafting, which was great fun but possibly not quite wild enough, although we did both get dunked several times! Aberfeldy itself is pretty nice but nothing really remarkable. Brilliant old shop direct from the 1950s!
Dunkeld
On the way back we stopped at Dunkeld which is pretty quaint has has a very impressive cathedral and bridge.
