Extra storage space
I'm no expert but you soon come to realise that storage space is everything. A bit of logic suggested that there would be some space behind the bathroom... and there was! I took the panel off and found more than enough room for a radio controlled plane, a bunch of tools, the electric hook up cable and the water refilling hose. Bloody marvellous!
I thought about all sort of ways to hinge the panel put ended up just making a curtain that's secured on the right hand side and and velcroed at the top and left hand side. It gives easy access and is flexible if you want to stuff loads of stuff in there that sits a bit proud.
New inverter and leisure battery
A new 100 Amp hour leisure battery and pure sine wave inverter. The inverter works brilliantly and is a great way to charge laptops and cameras whilst your moving without even denting the battery.I rigged up the multi gang thing so you can hide charging things under the seat if you want to.
USB power all round
Two iPhones, two iPads, GPS and a camera that charges off USB all need to be kept topped up. The dashboard thingy was from Halfords. It fits pretty well and I hard wired it to the cigarette lighter socket.
The other one is hardwired to the leisure battery and is in the compartment behind the driver seat so that you can leave stuff charging out of sight if you're off walking.
Water tank
Doing a bit of cross country snapped the fresh water feeder spout. That means taking the tank out which is one of those jobs that is made easy thanks to great Autosleeper design but made bloody irritating thanks to 12 years of rusted nuts - if you'll pardon the expression!
Anyway, you'll see from the photos that it's not rocket science. The only point of note is that you need to snip the cable for the tank level meter. I just soldered a connector on in case it needs to come off again.
